Jesuit High School's award-winning fundraising gala, Gaudiosa, is just a few weeks away, on Saturday, February 27 – and for the first time ever it will take place at Jesuit!
Two centerpieces of Phase I of Jesuit's campus master plan, Gonzmart Hall and Oliva Family Courtyard, are the site of the 18th annual Gaudiosa, which has raised $5 million the past seven years for Jesuit's financial aid program!
Gaudiosa 2021 is filling up fast. Please click here to register to attend the event, or go to www.jesuittampa.org/2021Registration. To learn more about Gaudiosa 2021, including information about event sponsorships, the Jesuit Blue Pages - Business Directory, and how to contribute auction items, please visit the Gaudiosa page on the Jesuit website.
This year, Gaudiosa travels to Italy for An Evening in Venice. Jesuit's award-winning Special Events Coordinator, Jane Younger, and her staff of dedicated volunteers, including Decorations Chairs Annette Sanchez, P '17, and Elvia Rivera, P '14, are working to making this Gaudiosa another spectacular, fun-filled event – all benefiting Jesuit's financial aid! The money raised for the financial aid program helps to ensure no qualified boy who wishes to receive a Jesuit education is denied the opportunity for financial reasons.
As always, Gaudiosa will feature phenomenal live auction and silent auction items. This year for the first time, non-attendees can bid electronically on all silent auction items. In early February, Jesuit will announce to the school community the details about how to bid on silent auction items even if you cannot attend An Evening in Venice on February 27.
This year's chance drawing raffle also will take place electronically, with the details to be announced soon.
The Tampa Bay Business Journal has repeatedly recognized Gaudiosa has as the region's best fundraising gala. The TBBJ has named Younger the Tampa Bay area's "Best Event Planner" four times, and it has named Gaudiosa the "Best Fundraising Event" four times!
Gaudiosa is a Latin term for "a joyous feast." The locational theme for each Gaudiosa is based on the travels of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus - the Jesuits - in the 16th century.
