Cross Country

Jesuit cross country has been among the top programs in the state for decades, capturing four State Championships – 1998, 2000, 2004, and 2005 (only soccer  and baseball with seven apiece have more State crowns among Jesuit athletic programs) – and a bevy of District and Region titles. Since 1996, Jesuit has earned 15 District titles and 11 Region titles to go with its 4 State crowns (see below the team's year-by-year results since 1996). During the fall 2024 season, the Tigers, captured the Region title in spectacular fashion, earning the program's first Region crown since 2008. Competing in Fort Myers juts five days after a District runner-up finish, the Tigers outscored runner-up Fort Myers 40-72 behind strong results from Cesar Calero (16:28), Lucas Rupp '26 (16:34), Gabe Garcia '26 (17:18), Daniel Dewey '25 (17:18), and Diego Alvarado-Borjas '26 (17:24). At State, Rupp (16:13) led the Tigers to a 5th-place finish, their best result at State since 3rd in 2013. Head coach Mike Phillips enters his fourth season in the fall of 2025, and the top runners include Rupp, Alvarado-Borjas, Garcia, Austin Boyle '27, Davis Swiger '26, and Caden Franz '26.
