School Counseling

Jesuit's School Counselors work with students from 9th through 11th grade, fostering strong, consistent relationships with both students and their families

throughout these formative years. This continuity allows counselors to provide individualized support that promotes academic achievement, social-emotional development, and behavioral wellness – ensuring each student receives purposeful guidance throughout their Jesuit experience.

Our certified School Counselors bring a wealth of professional experience and expertise to the development and delivery of a comprehensive, grade-specific counseling curriculum. This program is intentionally designed to align with the mission of Jesuit education, gradually building students’ skills and readiness each year as they transition to working with the College Counselors mid-junior year.

  • 9th grade - Fall
    • Intro to Counseling and its components
    • Creating a College Board account, PSAT details, Maia Learning, and Big Future app
    • Study skills, time management, and organizational skills
    • PSAT results review, Learning and Productivity assessment, and midterm exam preparation
  • 9th grade - Spring
    • Course selection
    • Calculating GPAs to create expectations and resume building
    • Research skills and Intelligences assessment
    • Bullying, final exam preparation, and summer expectations
       
  • 10th grade - Fall
    • Intro to Sophomore year and new resources
    • PSAT Student Guide and additional study skills
