Resource Counseling

The Resource Counselor at Jesuit High School plays a vital role in enhancing students’ academic performance, executive functioning, and personal development within a structured and growth-oriented environment. The counselor utilizes targeted strategies, including time management, organization, goal setting, and self-advocacy, and supports students in building confidence and addressing academic and organizational challenges. Key responsibilities include fostering effective communication, reinforcing essential executive functioning skills, and promoting social intelligence and self-awareness.

Additionally, the Resource Counselor oversees specialized academic support during designated class periods and manages peer tutoring opportunities through the National Honor Society, all with the overarching goal of cultivating a culture of resilience, academic excellence, and holistic student development.
