Welcome to Jesuit

Welcome to Jesuit

Jesuit High School opened its campus Tuesday (Nov. 7) for Open House 2017, welcoming prospective students in the Class of 2022 and their families for a wonderful evening.

Upwards of 1,000 visitors walked Jesuit's beautiful 40-acre campus, and met the students, faculty, and staff of the institution that has been forming young men in the Tampa Bay area since 1899.

The evening began at 7:00pm in the Jesuit Gymnasium. School president Fr. Richard C. Hermes, S.J. and principal Barry Neuburger addressed the gathering, as did students Jason Kwo '21, and Charles Clark '18. (Click on their names to view video of their presentations.)

Then the prospective future Tigers – Open House is designed for students presently in 8th grade and their families – were divided into tour groups, each group led by Jesuit students, with 15 stops along each tour.

The groups explored the campus and experienced Jesuit from a student's perspective, taking in the array of academic and extracurricular opportunities, from the arts, athletics, and vast club offerings to staples of the curriculum such as engineering, math, theology, social studies, science, English, and foreign language.
