Jesuit High School opened its campus Tuesday evening (Nov. 10) to prospective students in the Class of 2020 and their families with a wonderful Open House.
Upwards of 1,000 visitors walked Jesuit's beautiful 40-acre campus, and met the students, faculty, and staff of the institution that has been forming young men in the Tampa Bay area since 1899.
The evening began at 7:00pm in St. Anthony’s Chapel at the center of the campus. School president Fr. Richard C. Hermes, S.J. and principal Barry Neuburger addressed the overlflow gathering, as did students Robert Morrison '19, and Michael Lee '16. (Click on their names to see video of their presentations.)
Then the prospective future Tigers -- Open House is designed for students presently in 8th grade and their families -- were divided into 16 tour groups, each led by Jesuit students, with 16 stops along each tour.
The groups explored the campus and experienced Jesuit from a student's perspective, taking in the vast array of academic and extracurricular opportunities, from the arts, athletics, and clubs to staples of the curriculum such as science, math, English, theology, and much more.
