The Three Musketeers


The Jesuit Masque's spring production of "The Three Musketeers," adapted for the stage by Ken Ludwig from Alexandre Dumas' historical adventure novel, featured four inspired and entertaining performances over three days – with a sold-out show every day – from April 11-13 in the MPR.

The swashbuckling adventure was filled with expertly choreographed sword-clanging action and corny dialogue, It starred Riley Buchanan '20 as D'Artagnan, Xander Arena '20, as Cardinal Richelieu, and Carter Campbell '19 (Athos), Matthew Starkey '20 (Aramis), and Paul Schnell '19 (Porthos) as the titular Musketeers.

The production, directed by Jesuit theater director Richard Miller with dance choreography by Jesuit teacher Rania Saade also featured a host of Jesuit and Academy of the Holy Names students, including AHN’s Maeve Miller, Hanna Skelly, Arianna Cortes, and Noelle Choueifati, and Jesuit’s Lucas Gatz ‘19, Chris Gold ‘19, Nicholas Asher ’21, Joseph Lopez ’21, stage manager Vincent Girgenti ’20, prop master Tyler Brownrigg ’21, lighting designer Marino Matthews ’20, sound designer Ian Mejia ’20, and costume crew chief Matthew Valdes ’20.
