Jesuit’s winter sports teams are back in action this week. Jesuit wrestling, coming off a sensational victory during the Christmas break at the 62-team Knockout Christmas Classic in Kissimmee, hosts the District Duals Tournament on Wednesday (Jan. 5) in the Tiger Palace beginning at 6:00pm. Jesuit basketball, which placed 2nd at the Jim Clark Classic in Orlando during the break and is 11-2 this season, travels to Canterbury on Tuesday and hosts King on Friday at 7:00pm.

Jesuit soccer hosts its major annual tournament, the Tampa Bay Invitational, on Thursday-Saturday (Jan. 6-8). Now in its 5th year, the TBI has been one of Florida’s premier soccer events, and Jesuit won in 2018 and 2019. Among the participating teams once again is the Jesuit school San Ignacio, from San Juan, Puerto Rico. San Ignacio and Jesuit play in an opening round match in the Showcase Division on Thursday at 7:00pm at Ed Radice Park. The TBI championship game is Saturday at Jesuit at 7:00pm.
