"The Play That Goes Wrong"

"The Play That Goes Wrong"

Laughter filled Shembekar Auditorium during a record-setting weekend for the Jesuit Masque and its fall performance of “The Play That Goes Wrong.”

In its second play since moving into the gorgeous and spacious new Antinori Center for the Arts, the four Masque shows over three days Nov. 16-18 generated record ticket sales and rave reviews. “The Play That Goes Wrong” featured an ensemble cast of award-winning thespians along with some new standouts on the stage, portraying a star-crossed theatre troupe attempting to put on a murder mystery play. Mayhem ensues in the slapstick comedy when everything that can go wrong, does.

Directed by Richard Miller and based on the play by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields, “The Play That Goes Wrong” utilized the grand stage in Shembekar Auditorium to create a memorable show starring Katelyn Micko as Annie the stage manager and Donovan Terry ’24 in his Masque debut as Trevor the technician, along with James Slack ’24, Aedan Gregory ’24, Kai Gibron '24, David Miranda '25, Emily McClelland, and Mason Marmino '24.
