Adam Lewis '16 and Brian Buser '16 both have surpassed 100 career wins

Since early in their freshman years, Adam Lewis ’16 and Brian Buser ’16 have been mainstays in the lineup for Jesuit wrestling.

And they also have been racking up the wins. Midway through their junior seasons, both recently eclipsed the prestigious 100-win mark - a testament to their durability and dedication as well as their talent.

Lewis, a two-time State runner-up who is competing at 145 pounds right now, is 22-4 this season and 103-10 for his career. Buser (170) is 26-2 in 2014-15 and 109-20 since arriving at Jesuit.

Closing fast on 100 wins is R.C. Consuegra ’15 (132), who has 92 and could reach the mark before the District Tournament, which is Feb. 28.

Next up for the Tigers is a 5-way dual meet Saturday (Jan. 31) at Springstead High in Spring Hill. It figures to be great preparation for the postseason as Springstead and Jesuit are two of the top Class 2A wrestling programs in Florida. Last season Jesuit was State runner-up and perennial-power Springstead placed third.
