Jesuit tennis is dominant in capturing another District title
The Jesuit High School tennis team continued its two-decade streak of excellence in District competition, claiming victories at No. 2 through 5 singles and at No. 1 doubles on Monday-Tuesday (March 30-31) at Hillsborough Community College.
Individual District champions were Jimmy Emslie '18 (No. 2), Alex Crosby '15 (No. 3), Gantt Meredith '16 (No. 4 - pictured on the homepage), and Gunther Mosesmann '18 (No. 5). At No. 1 doubles, the team of Palmer Evans ’15 and Max Azzarelli ’15 claimed the District crown.
Jesuit has won the District championship 20 times in 21 seasons under head coach Joe Curtis, and every year except one since capturing the title in 1993.
The Tigers will host a Region Semifinal match on Tuesday, April 7 at 3:00pm at HCC, and if they win they will host the Region Final on Thur. April 9 at 3:00pm at HCC.
