A bevy of Jesuit High School musicians, under the guidance of Jesuit's music director, Nina Wegmann, received exceptional evaluations on Nov. 14 in the District Solo and Ensemble competition at Ben Hill Middle School.

A total of 14 Jesuit performances received scores of excellent (3), superior (8 solos, plus a 4-person ensemble), or superior with distinction (2).

The highest honor, superior with distinction, was awarded to Guilson Chua ’19 (guitar) and Nathan Gimness ’18 (piano) in solo performances. 

Superior ratings in solo performances were achieved by: Nick Indelicato ’18 (violin), Daniel Kim ’18 (guitar), James Kim ’18 (guitar), Karol Piedad ’19 (guitar), Joseph Ralston ’19 (violin), Zack Sullivan ’16 (guitar), Jordan Vivero ’18 (piano), and Spencer Whipple ’16 (violin).

Sullivan, James Kim, Hyoung Kim ’18, and Daniel Kim received a superior rating in ensemble performance.

And excellent ratings in solo performances were earned by: Daniel Harris ’18 (cello), John Mace ’17 (string bass), and Robert Willis ’17 (violin).
