Silver Jubilee Mass

Silver Jubilee Mass

Jesuit High School celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Priestly Ordination of school president Fr. Richard C. Hermes, S.J. with a special Silver Jubilee Mass on Tuesday (Aug. 1).

It was standing room only in the Chapel of the Holy Cross as hundreds of students, alumni, families, and friends of Jesuit, who have come to know Father Hermes during his 15 years as school president, came to join in the celebration.

During his homily, Father expressed his gratitude to God for calling him to the priesthood, and to his family and many others for their vocational support.

At the reception afterward, R. Jim Robbins Jr. ’77, president of Jesuit’s Board of Trustees, spoke about the extraordinary impact Father Hermes has made on the Jesuit High School community.
