Tiger soccer ends the regular season with 2-0 win over Berkeley Prep

The Jesuit High School soccer team completed a stellar regular season with an 18-2-2 record following the Tigers’ 2-0 win Saturday over Berkeley Prep on Senior Night.

The seniors and their families were celebrated beforehand, and then Jesuit closed the season in fashion by recording its 12th shutout. Connar Lufkin ’16 and Paul Anderson ’15 scored for the Tigers.

Jesuit finished on a tear, going 16-1-1 after a 2-1-1 start to the year. The Tigers allowed just 16 goals in their last 18 matches. Jesuit is ranked No. 14 in the state among all schools in all classifications by MaxPreps.com

Jesuit is the host school and top seed in the District Tournament, and the Tigers received a bye into Wednesday’s semifinal against either Jefferson or Bayshore. The Jesuit vs. Jefferson-Bayshore winner match will be played at either 6:00 or 8:00pm, depending on the outcomes of the opening round matches.

The District championship match is Friday at 7:00pm at Corral Memorial Stadium.
