Sacraments of Initiation

Jesuit High School president Fr. Richard C. Hermes, S.J. celebrated a special Mass at Jesuit on Wednesday (May 17), during which Seth Cashen '18, Trent Gephart '19, and Caysen Waldron '19 were baptized, and T.J. Blackmon '19 and Colton Caruso '19 were received into full communion with the Catholic Church.
Each student was accompanied by his sponsor: Cashen by theology teacher Chris Ragusa, Waldron by Mike Sweet '16, Caruso by assistant director of campus ministry Ben Shoup, and Gephart and Blackmon both were sponsored by theology teacher Rania Saade.
Jesuit was given special permission to celebrate these sacraments from the Diocese of St. Petersburg, and from the pastor of the parish in which Jesuit is located, Fr. Michael Muir of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
