Robotics partners with St. Joseph's

For Jesuit's Stealth Tigers robotics team, it is the summer of service.

Coming off their best season - the Stealth Tigers qualified for and excelled at the World Championships in Houston in April - the team is applying its advanced skills to serve the community by helping out children in need.

This month, the Stealth Tigers have connected with St. Joseph's Children's Hospital in Tampa to use their talents to modify electric toy cars, making them suitable for use by the special needs kids at the hospital. The project is part of the national GoBabyGo! program founded at the University of Delaware, and the Stealth Tigers recently visited the Motion Analysis Center at the hospital and received two cars that had been donated.

They will work on adapting the cars over the next few weeks, and plan to return them ready for use by the children before the end of summer.
