Perspectives: Jesuit's 125th Anniversary

The Fall 2024 issue of Jesuit's Perspectives magazine has arrived! Click here to view the 44-page, 140-photo issue, filled with news and information about Jesuit High School during the summer and fall!

The main feature highlights the 125th anniversary of the founding of Jesuit High School, then known as Sacred Heart College, in 1899. From humble beginnings downtown, to its growth as a pillar of Tampa, to its renaming as Jesuit High School in 1940, to the move to West Tampa and Himes Avenue in 1956 (the first day on the new campus is pictured on the homepage), up until today, the story of Jesuit High School is one of amazing educational achievement and impact on the Tampa Bay area and beyond.

The issue also includes more than 30 updates in the Alumni in Action section as well as first-person accounts of the service immersion mission trips to South Dakota (by Oliver Hund '25) and Guatemala (by Logan Hardin '25), and an amazing week at Boys State (by Nico Miranda '25), as well the phenomenal two-week Eucharistic Pilgrimage to Europe and the Wyoming Wilderness Retreat. There also is a Bequest Society feature on Cody Koletic '10; the amazing story of the Remo family's Marian World Foundation; Silicon Valley CEO Paul Dawes '83 on the future of AI and education; a My Perspective piece by Hector Vila '75, Alumnus of the Year the Hon. Ron Ficarrotta '76, and the usual news sections: Life on Himes, Sports, Alumni, and Development.
