Our Daily Chapel - Holy Cross

Our Daily Chapel - Holy Cross

On Thursday, September 27, on the 478th anniversary of Pope Paul III approving the Society of Jesus as a new religious order, Jesuit High School permanently moved into its new spiritual home with the first daily Convocation in the Chapel of the Holy Cross.

The special Convocation on Thursday, during which Jesuit president Fr. Richard C. Hermes, S.J. spoke to the student body about the chapel, completed the more than two-year process of creating a new chapel for the Jesuit students.

Earlier this month the spectacular new chapel hosted its first all-school Mass. On Aug. 7, during the Rite of Dedication of the Chapel of the Holy Cross, the chapel was blessed by Bishop Michael C. Barber, S.J. of Oakland, Calif.

Please view below a photo slideshow from Thursday's Convocation, as well as video of Fr. Hermes' Convocation presentation.
