The Jesuit tennis team places third at the Class 2A State Tournament

The Jesuit tennis team culminated its District and Region championship season with a third-place finish at the Class 2A State Tournament in Casselberry on Wednesday-Thursday (April 15-16).

The Tigers advanced all five singles players into the semifinals on Wednesday – No. 1 Max Azzarelli ’15, No. 2 Palmer Evans ’15, No. 3 Jimmy Emslie ’18, No. 4 Alex Crosby ’15, and No. 5 Gantt Meredith ’16 – but could advance no further as they were thwarted by players from state champion Plantation American Heritage.

The No. 2 doubles team of Crosby–Emslie also advanced to the semifinals before succumbing to American Heritage again, 6-3, 7-5.
