Musical Magnificence

The annual event featured band musicians, guitarists, and percussionists under the leadership of Jesuit's music director, Nina Wegmann. The concert consisted of six ensemble and 16 solo performances, with pieces ranging from Claude Debussy's "Claire De Lune" and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's "Flight of the Bumblebee," to "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" by George Harrison. The evening concluded with the percussion sextet fusing a number of Michael Jackson's most recognizable songs into "The King of Pop Medley," which was met with a thunderous applause from the crowd and a standing ovation.
