Monday Mass

Monday Mass

Jesuit High School began the week on Monday (Oct. 19) morning with all-school Mass in St. Anthony's Chapel, as Fr. Paul Deutsch, S.J. celebrated the Feast of the North American Martyrs.

Eight Jesuits came from France to North America in the first half of the  17th century, including St. Isaac Jogues, S.J., and St. Jean de Brebeuf, S.J. They performed years of missionary work among the native populations before each was martyred, between 1642 and 1649, in Canada and upstate New York.
