Men for Others Dinner

The Dads' Club's annual event featured keynote speaker Lou Holtz
More than 620 fathers and sons from Jesuit High School enjoyed a wonderful evening April 26 at the Men for Others Dinner.
The keynote address at the 10th annual Dads’ Club event was delivered by legendary football coach and renowned public speaker Lou Holtz. Holtz, the grandfather of Chad Holtz ’15 and well-known television commentator, used his famous wit to share insightful thoughts and comments. (Click here to read an interview with Holtz from the Men for Others Dinner in the Tampa Bay Times.)
Holtz spoke about the influence of his Catholic background and emphasized that everyone should focus on three things in life: Doing the right thing, doing the best you can at everything you do, and showing people you care. A video of the dinner, including Holtz's keynote adress, is below.
During the event, Dads’ Club president Harold Astorquiza ’80, P ’16 presented Jesuit president Fr. Richard C. Hermes, S.J. with a gift from the Dads’ Club of $196,000. The money was raised primarily through Dads’ Club coordination of parking for events at neighboring Raymond James Stadium during the 2014-15 school year.
