Homecoming 2015

Homecoming 2015

Superheroes roamed the hallways and grounds at Jesuit High School on Monday (Sept. 28), as “SuperMon-Day” kicked off the Homecoming Week dress-down themes.

On Wednesday (Sept. 30), it was Fantasy Character Day, a.k.a. "A long time ago in a galaxy/Middle Earth/Hogwarts/on 4701 N. Himes Ave ... "

Each day this week, students have embraced the wacky dress-down themes of Homecoming and taken advantage of the rare opportunity to forego the school dress code.

The week culminates Thursday (Oct. 1) with the Homecoming Pep Rally at 7:00pm - which student body vice president J.J. Zambito '16 said would be the most interesting in years at Wednesday's Convocation - and then Friday (Oct. 2) is Fun Day, as the students decorate campus before heading home early at the 1:00pm dismissal time.

Everyone returns to Jesuit that evening for the Homecoming celebration, beginning with the BBQ at 5:00pm in the nostalgically adorned cafeteria, and football game at 7:30pm at Corral Memorial Stadium, as the unbeaten Tigers face District foe Middleton. Stay tuned through halftime as Lee Pallardy '69 is recognized as the Alumnus of the Year.

Among the special offerings that evening at Homecoming are face-painting, sno-cones, cotton candy, and a commemorative Homecoming photo with the Tiger mascot.

Tickets are required for the Homecoming BBQ, which is sold out.

Tickets for the game are $5.00.

The dress-down themes for students for the remainder of the week:

  • Thursday: #TBT – students can wear their favorite throwback jersey, or dress as a man from their favorite historical decade or century
  • Friday: Intramural dress for Fun Day
