Grand Reunion
Several hundred Jesuit High School alumni in class years ending in '5' and '0' came home to Himes Ave. during May 30-June 1 weekend for a wonderful Grand Reunion celebration.
The annual event started Friday evening (May 30) with an elegant reception on campus that brought together all of the classes – every 5 years from 1950 through 2020 – for an enjoyable evening of revelry and nostalgia. Alumni spanning generations renewed acquaintances and shared memories and life stories. The special bond between Jesuit alumni and their alma mater made for a memorable occasion for all.
Once again, the Friday reception also featured an outdoor cigar lounge that has become a popular fixture at Grand Reunion receptions. The Class of 1975, celebrating its 50th reunion, had particularly strong presence, and every graduating class dating back to the 1950s was well represented.
After Grand Reunion weekend, WTVT-Fox 13 aired a special segment by Lloyd Sowers about Jesuit's Class of '75 and their brotherhood and generosity, click to view.
On Saturday (May 31), the respective classes gathered away from campus at various locales in the Tampa Bay area. Sunday (June 1) brought everyone back to Jesuit for Mass in the Chapel of the Holy Cross with alumni and their families, followed by brunch. During Mass, the members of the Class 1975 were awarded their Golden Diplomas.
SAVE THE DATE: Grand Reunion 2026 will celebrate classes ending in '1' and '6' with the Class of 1976 (50 years) receiving special recognition. It will take place May 29-31, 2026. Email alumni@jesuittampa.org for more information or to register.
