Gaudiosa: An Evening in Barcelona

Gaudiosa: An Evening in Barcelona

Jesuit High School's award-winning fundraising gala, Gaudiosa, is coming up on Saturday, February 25, and this year's event – the 20th annual Gaudiosa – returns to Barcelona!

Silent auction bidding is underway! Click here to begin viewing and bidding on hundreds of spectacular Gaudiosa auction items. As always, all Gaudiosa proceeds help provide financial assistance for Jesuit students.

Gaudiosa: An Evening in Barcelona at the Hilton Tampa Downtown will feature the gorgeous setting, joyous atmosphere, and the amazing silent auction and live auction items that have made Gaudiosa the Tampa Bay area's premier fundraising gala!

"We are so thankful for our benefactors who support Jesuit High School and this event so generously," said Jesuit's Special Events Coordinator, Mary Rouge. "We are also pleased to share that this year, once again, the Gaudiosa silent auction will be open to the general public, as is the chance drawing raffle."

The chance drawing raffle and silent auction bidding will be available soon. Stay tuned for a link to view all of the phenomenal silent auction items and place your bids!

The raffle is once again sponsored by The Capitano Family and Marathon Gas. Raffle entries closed at 4:00pm on February 24.

Last year, for the first time, Gaudiosa raised more than $1 million! Over the past nine years, Gaudiosa generated more than $6.6 million, with all the money raised going toward Jesuit's financial aid program. For two decades, Gaudiosa has helped to ensure that no qualified boy who wishes to receive a Jesuit education is denied the opportunity for financial reasons.

As always, Gaudiosa will feature a beautiful setting, transporting the hundreds of guests to beautiful Barcelona, the cosmopolitan capital of Spain's Catalonia region. In addition to the phenomenal live and silent auctions, Gaudiosa will feature a delicious dinner, a great live band, dancing, and the spirit of Jesuit High School. Rouge and her staff of dedicated volunteers, including longtime volunteers Auction Chair Theresa Wresh, P '17, '20 and Reservations Chair Lori Tappan, P '19 are working diligently to make this Gaudiosa another phenomenal event – all benefiting Jesuit's financial aid!

The Tampa Bay Business Journal has repeatedly recognized Gaudiosa as the region's best fundraising gala, honoring Gaudiosa as the "Best Fundraising Event" four times!

Gaudiosa is a Latin term for "a joyous feast." The locational theme for each Gaudiosa is based on the travels of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus – the Jesuits – in the 16th century.
