Jesuit High School's award-winning fundraising gala, Gaudiosa, is just days away, on Saturday, February 27 – and for the first time ever it will take place at Jesuit!
Two centerpieces of Phase I of Jesuit's campus master plan, Gonzmart Hall and Oliva Family Courtyard, are the site of the 18th annual Gaudiosa, which has raised $5 million the past seven years for Jesuit's financial aid program!

"We are truly thankful for the generosity of our benefactors who have supported Jesuit High School at such a critical time," said Jesuit's award-winning Special Events Coordinator, Jane Younger. "We are also pleased to share that this year, for the first time, the Gaudiosa silent auction will be open to the general public. Please stay tuned for further information that will be shared closer to the event about how anyone can participate in the silent auction this year via electronic bidding."
This year, Gaudiosa travels to Italy for An Evening in Venice. Younger and her staff of dedicated volunteers, including Decorations Chairs Annette Sanchez, P '17, and Elvia Rivera, P '14, are working diligently to make this Gaudiosa another spectacular, fun-filled event – all benefiting Jesuit's financial aid! The money raised for the financial aid program helps to ensure no qualified boy who wishes to receive a Jesuit education is denied the opportunity for financial reasons.
As always, Gaudiosa will feature phenomenal live auction and silent auction items. As Younger indictaed, this year for the first time, non-attendees can bid electronically on all silent auction items. This year's chance drawing raffle also is taking place electronically.
The Tampa Bay Business Journal has repeatedly recognized Gaudiosa has as the region's best fundraising gala. The TBBJ has named Younger the Tampa Bay area's "Best Event Planner" four times, and it has named Gaudiosa the "Best Fundraising Event" four times!
Gaudiosa is a Latin term for "a joyous feast." The locational theme for each Gaudiosa is based on the travels of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus - the Jesuits - in the 16th century.
