Jesuit High School's five outstanding fall sports programs - bowling, cross country, football, golf, and swimming - all participate in their first regular season contests this week.

Jesuit bowling, led by coach Ted Beil, has captured the District title three of the past four years and has advanced to the State Tournament five consecutive years. Ethan Sutton '18 set a school record with a 208.9 average last year.
Cross country, led by coach Jim Ranieri, returns individual District champion and Region runner-up John Robbins '18.
Football, led by coach Matt Thompson, has won 21 consecutive regular season games and has reached the State Semifinal back-to-back seasons. The Tigers open the regular season Friday (Aug. 25) at home vs. Durant, which made the Class 7A playoffs last season and is ranked in the Top 20 in the area by the Tampa Bay Times.
Golf, led by coach Nico Hohman '07, has earned 11 straight District titles and placed 4th at the State Tournament last season, its highest State result since 1997.
And swimming, led by coach Bill Shaffer, is one of the premier programs in the State, with 20 consecutive District titles, eight straight Region crowns, and a Top 3 finish at State the past three years, including back-to-back runner-up results in 2014-15.
