Jesuit artists are honored in an exhibit at the University of Tampa


Last month, the amazing artwork of Dylan Briceno-Hawkins ’15, Cole Fisher ’15, and Andrew Deming ’15 was recognized with top awards at Jesuit High School’s Celebration of the Arts.

This month, the trio of talented Jesuit seniors is hitting it big in collegiate art circles.

Briceno-Hawkins, Fisher, and Deming each had a piece chosen from among hundreds of entries submitted by Hillsborough County students for exhibit at the University of Tampa High School Art Show. Selections were made by the UT Fine Arts faculty.

Briceno-Hawkins’ portrait of an Afghan Aluminum Worker took home one of the show’s five highest awards. The awards were presented at a reception at the Scarfone Hartley Gallery at UT on May 15.

The show runs through the end of the month at the Scarfone Hartley Gallery. Viewing dates and times are listed below. Click here for more information:

  • Tue. May 19 through Fri. May 22: 10:00am–4:00pm
  • Sat. May 23:  1:00pm – 4:00pm
  • Tue. May 26 through Thur. May 28: 10:00am–4:00pm
