District Champions x 18
The Jesuit golf team kept its historic run going on Monday (Oct. 23), capturing the District Tournament at Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club. It is the Tigers' 18th consecutive District crown.
Many Jesuit golfers weren't born yet when the District title-winning streak began, and for head coach David Simmons it is his 6th District championship. Jesuit's team score of 308 easily outdistanced runners-up Freedom (361).
The Tigers were led Monday by Drew Campbell ’24, who earned medalist honors with a 71 to claim back-to-back individual District titles. C.J. Kilkelly ’24 and Liam Fernandez ’26 both fired a 78, and Ethan Bauer ’25 carded an 81 to complete the scoring for the Tigers.

Jesuit moves on to the Region Tournament at Bardmoor Golf and Tennis Club in Seminole next Tuesday (Oct. 31). Campbell will be defending his individual Region title from 2022 as the Tigers try to advance to the State Tournament, which is Nov. 7-8 at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills.
