Clubs Open House 2021

One of the biggest annual on-campus events at Jesuit, one with a major impact on students throughout the school year, takes place during the second week: Clubs Open House.

Thursday (Aug. 19) in Oliva Courtyard outside of the Chapel of the Holy Cross, nearly 50 clubs were on display, with club officers and moderators recruiting new members during Clubs Open House 2021-22. Hundreds of Jesuit students surveyed the dozens of enriching choices - service-oriented clubs, faith-related clubs, academic and pre-professional clubs, athletic clubs, and performing and fine arts clubs. 

Clubs at Jesuit provide students with myriad options for pursuing their passions. Many are newer clubs seeking to establish a foundation in Jesuit's robust club scene, such as the Jazz Club, Help Our Heroes, Songwriting & Music Production, and Junior State of America; some have quickly become fixtures in a few years' time and made a major impact on student life at Jesuit, such as the Pre-Medical Club, Native American Club, African American Club, Science Olympiad, and Outdoorsman Society; and many are long-time, award-winning standard bearers such as Robotics, Latin Club, Pro Life Club, Don't Feed the Artists, Altar Servers, Hockey, La Gente, Key Club, Pep Band, S.A.D.D., Masque (drama club), Peer Ministry, and the Environmental Club.

Through the varied and extensive club offerings, Jesuit students are developing their talents and leadership skills. Jesuit's clubs are under the guidance of the school's Director of Student Activities, Austin Freeman '02.
