Classical Music Concert

Classical Music Concert

The Jesuit Orchestra and Advanced Band filled the Chapel of the Holy Cross with the music of Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Grieg, Strauss and more at the Classical Music Concert on Friday (May 6).

The concert was a new addition to Jesuit’s spring schedule, as it was a student-driven effort to dedicate an entire performance exclusively to Classical music. Seniors Preston Shembekar ’22, Nathan Hyde ’22, and Michael Skarupa ’22 helped spearhead the organization of the showcase, which was conducted by Jesuit music director Nina Wegmann.

The musicians included Jesuit teachers Lisa Kowynia (violin), Dan Noyes (bass trombone), and Brian Morand (string bass). The full list of performers is below, and below that is the full concert video.
