Christmas Giving

Christmas Giving

The desire of Jesuit High School students to help others was joined together with the spirit of Christmas this past weekend.

Sunday (Dec. 8) in Plant City, 11 members of the Jesuit service club Agmen Christi continued their annual tradition of providing Christmas presents for dozens of migrant children in East Hillsborough County. The club members had received specific gift requests and provided a wrapped present for every request.

Club members Adam Dieck '21, Nicholas Garcia '21, Chris Jeffords '20, Dawson Kiser '21, Bennett Lee '20, Camden Minacci '20, Danny O'Leary '22, Joseph Ringewald '21, Matthew Uzdavinis '20, Danny Vargas '22, and Ryan Weir '21, along with club moderators David Mammola and Corey Perich, brought all of the presents to Robinson Elementary School in Plant City on Sunday afternoon, where Santa Claus was waiting in the cafeteria.

For about 90 minutes, the children, who are part of the Migrant Education Program and attend Robinson Elementary, came up on the cafeteria stage to meet Santa and receive their presents from the Agmen Christi "elves." Migrant advocate Julie Snyder, P '16, recently named a Finalist for Hillsborough County's Diversity Educator of the Year, helped coordinate the event.
