Career Day 2019

Jesuit High School's juniors and seniors received presentations from distinguished alumni and other accomplished professionals during the school's annual Career Day on Feb. 27.

A total of 33 presenters, including 27 alumni spanning a vast range of vocations, enriched the students throughout the morning in small-group sessions on campus. Every junior and senior participated in four 35-minute presentations.

The sessions included careers such as accounting (Robbie Amor '11), medicine (Dr. Amir Shirmohammad '93), law (Martin Hernandez '93), mechanical engineering (Steve Helak '08), sports marketing/event planning (Rob Higgins '96), military (Kelly Kimsey '88), construction (Del Diaz '74, Tim Nalls '97), finance (Andre Kirwan '92), computer software (Laura-Elizabeth Ware) and the arts (Emiliano Settecasi '13). 

Also, alumnus Steve Heese '79 began Career Day at morning Convocation, speaking to the entire student body about his experience as a successful business executive and the major influence his Jesuit High School education has made on his life. Heese, the president and CEO of Chris-Craft Corp. and a Harvard Business School alumnus, then presented to four small-group sessions in the MPR about international business.
