All-School Mass

Jesuit High School celebrated two beautiful all-school Masses on Nov. 23 and 24 in the Chapel of the Holy Cross.
The spacious 950-seat chapel, which was blessed and dedicated in 2018, features four beautiful side shrines, one of which features Blessed Miguel Pro, with a spectacular painting of Pro by Raul Berzosa. Pro was a Mexican Catholic priest who was executed for his faith on Nov. 23, 1927. At the conclusion of the Mass on Nov. 23, Jesuit president Fr. Richard C. Hermes, S.J. blessed the shrine.
On Nov. 24, Fr. Angel Rivera-Fals, S.J. celebrated the Martyrs of Vietnam. Two photo slideshows are available for viewing below, one of the Mass celebrating the Feast of Blessed Miguel Pro, and the second of the Mass celebrating the Martyrs of Vietnam. Due to COVID-19 protocols, all gatherings in the chapel are at a reduced capacity, therefore "all-school" Masses are spread out over multiple dates.
On the first day back Thanksgiving Break, Mon. Nov. 30, at morning Convocation, Jesuit celebrated the beginning of Advent in the Chapel of the Holy Cross, with Father Hermes lighting the first candle on the Advent wreath the blessing the wreath.
