The Jesuit High School baseball team captured the District title Thursday (May 4), erupting for 10 runs and allowing Jefferson just two hits to prevail 10-0 at Jefferson.

With the victory, the No. 1 seed Tigers claimed the District crown for the sixth consecutive season, including 3-for-3 under head coach Miguel Menendez. Jesuit (21-6) will host Land O'Lakes or River Ridge in a Region Quarterfinal game Tuesday (May 9) at Jesuit at 7:00pm. Last season in the Region Quarterfinal, Jesuit and River Ridge went nine scoreless innings before the Tigers prevailed in the 10th.

Thursday, the Tigers had four batters – McGuire Weaver '18, Joel Brewer '18, Alex Mocny '17, and Charles Clark '18 – combine for 12 hits, 9 runs, and 8 RBI.

Weaver led the way, going 4-for-4 with 5 RBI and a home run. Brewer and Mocny both were 3-for-3, and Clark had two hits and two runs. 

On the mound, Jack Anderson '18 went four innings and Price Sartor '17 two, each allowing just one hit.
