City of Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn inspired Jesuit High School’s students, faculty and staff on Friday morning at the school’s daily morning Convocation in St. Anthony’s Chapel.

Mayor Buckhorn spoke for just under 30 minutes on the value of leadership and serving in the community, and how important it is that Tampa’s youth return home after their education is complete to continue to help make an already great city even greater.

Following his Convocation address, Mayor Buckhorn met with select Jesuit students, including its Student Council Executive Board, in the school’s library. He answered questions from what made him re-locate to Tampa in 1982, to economic development and revitalization in the city of Tampa, to how to get involved in working with an election campaign.
