MORE PHOTOS BELOW:  On April 24th, Jesuit's track and field team celebrated after capturing the 2-A regional title at the FHSAA Region Track and Field Regional Meet at Golden Gate High School in Naples. Little more than a week later, the team brought home another large trophy when it took second at the state meet on Saturday, May 2nd.

At Saturday's 2A State Track and Field Meet at Showalter Field in Winter Park, the team accrued 47 points to seal a second place finish behind powerhouse Monsignor Pace (82 points). Team leaders Connor Revord '09 and Jordan Schilit '09 took first and second, respectively in the 1,600 meter race, which provided the team enough points to claim the runner up trophy. The 4x800 relay team (Mike McEnany, Connor Revord, Jordan Schilit and Logan Trimble) also won a state title for the 4x800 relay.

At the regional meet last week, Revord and Schilit turned in first place performances for the 1600 and 3200 races, respectively. Jesuit's 4x800 relay team (Mike McEnany '09, Joe Parker '09, Jordan Schilit '09 and Logan Trimble '09) had a second place finish, and the 4x400 relay team (Mike McEnany '09, Evan Rubinson '10, Garrett Singletary '11 and Logan Trimble) took third place.  Junior Pat Beane took third place in the pole vault event. The team compiled 78 points to win first place, followed by Golden Gate (68), Nature Coast (54) and Astronaut (54).
