Ways the Association Supports Jesuit
The Alumni Association takes an active role in supporting the school through three important fundraising and service efforts.
FR. HARTNETT S.J. MEMORIAL GOLF CLASSIC
Service opportunities are available through the Fr. Hartnett S.J. Memorial Golf Classic, which has been organized and run by the Alumni Association every year since its inception in 1979. For the past 31 years, the Golf Classic has made a meaningful contribution to the school’s Financial Aid Endowment for students of families in need. While it’s just a few key alumni who join forces to organize this tourney each year, scores more lend their support by playing in it.
ANNUAL GIVING DRIVE CLASS CHALLENGE
The Alumni Association also plays an important part in the wellbeing of Jesuit High School by enthusiastically supporting the school’s “Show Your Stripes” Annual Giving Drive, which assists Jesuit with keeping its tuition as low as possible. Each year in Jesuit’s President’s Annual Report, alumni contributions are listed by class, which has spawned a friendly participation competition.
In addition to making donations, volunteer services are needed to maximize this effort. Each year volunteers help the Annual Giving Phon-a-thon by making phone calls to encourage alumni to “show their stripes” by contributing to the Annual Giving Drive.

GAUDIOSA
In recent years, Alumni Association members have become more involved with the school’s annual gala fundraiser, Gaudiosa. Alumni patron, auction, and volunteer support has played a prominent role in the success of the event, which helps Jesuit’s defray the cost of providing tuition assistance to students of families with demonstrated financial needs. If you are interested in becoming an alumni patron supporter, attending the event, or providing an auction item or volunteer manpower for the event, please contact Events Coordinator,Jane Younger, at 813.877.5344, ext. 706.
