"Show Your Stripes" Annual Giving Drive

Support for Jesuit’s Annual Giving Drive is essential to the financial health of the school and helps Jesuit keep tuition costs as low as possible. Every year the proceeds from the Annual Giving Drive provide the school with operating funds to address:
 
1. unexpected expenses for campus maintenance.
2. short-term enhancements to the education of our students.
3. efforts to bridge the tuition "gap" and combat rising costs. 

Help Bridge the Tuition "Gap"
Tuition is calculated based on the core expenses of operating the school – faculty and staff salaries, supplies and day-to-day operational expenses. Any additional or unexpected costs are covered by the Annual Giving Drive, which relies on the support of Jesuit’s parents, alumni and community friends.

In an effort to keep tuition as affordable as possible, the tuition charged does not equal the actual cost of educating each Jesuit student.  This leaves a financial "gap" that we need help closing through donations to meet our annual operating budget.  For example, for the 2009-2010 academic year, the actual cost for each Jesuit student is $13,600, but tuition charged per student is $11,600, leaving an $2,000 per student budget shortfall, or gap. Gifts to the "Show Your Stripes for Jesuit" Annual Giving Drive help the school bridge this gap.
