Honoring Our Traditions Capital Campaign
THANK YOU! We are immensely grateful to all those who have contributed to Jesuit's $8 million capital campaign, "Honoring Our Traditions." We are pleased to announce that we reached our goal and that the capital campaign has officially come to a close as of May 4, 2008. The fruits of our generous donor contributions can be seen campuswide in the newly constructed and renovated buildings and our new synthetic athletic track and field. Thank you for your generous support of this capital drive and Jesuit High School!
In September 2003, Jesuit High School embarked on a capital campaign to secure the academic, spiritual and athletic needs of the school.
The $8 million "Honoring Our Traditions" Capital Campaign detailed a plan for a stimulating, state-of-the-art learning environment, as well as campus pastoral enhancements that celebrate the Jesuit tradition. The new improvements provided through the capital campaign offer students the opportunity to experience a creative, reflective space that will enable them to grow spiritually, academically, and athletically.
The following construction and renovation projects are components of the capital campaign plan to safeguard and honor Jesuit’s traditions for many more generations of students:
Academic and Student-Oriented Improvements
* New Technology Wing named in honor of Fr. Michael Kennelly, S.J. (completed)
* New Classroom Building, in honor of Fr. Richard G. Hartnett, S.J. (completed)
* Full Renovation of the Library (completed)
* Renovation of the Cafeteria (completed)
* New Classroom Computers/Support Technology (complete)
* Partial renovation of the Multi-purpose Theater Room (completed)
* Creation of a $1 million endowment for Jesuit’s financial aid program (completed)
Spiritual Amenities
* Jesuit Memorial Bell Tower (completed)
* A.M.D.G. Celebration Plaza (completed)
* "Men for Others" Memorial (completed)
* The St. Ignatius Prayer for Generosity Benefactors’ Memorial (completed)
Athletic Improvements
* New Sports Complex, named in honor of alumnus Al Lopez Sr. ’27 (completed)
* Full renovation of the Gymnasium, including air conditioning system and new
court floor (completed)
* New synthetic Athletic Field and rubberized Track installation (completed)
* Renovation of the Stadium Press Box and Public Address System (completed)
