Jesuit Socials and Dances
Although Jesuit High School is an all-male school, there are still a variety of opportunities for our students to interact socially with girls. Girls from different schools attend many of our school events. Students from the Academy of the Holy Names make up the Jesuit High School cheerleading squad for football and basketball at the varsity and junior varsity levels. Academy students also perform in our drama productions.
Because we recognize the importance of social interaction Jesuit High School offers two dances in the first semester. The annual Back-to-School Dance is held in the school cafeteria following a home varsity football game. Our annual Homecoming Dance is another Jesuit tradition that includes the crowning of the Jesuit Homecoming Queen. The queen and the court are seniors from the Academy.
Spring brings the yearly Junior Senior Prom that for years has been held at the Tampa Club in downtown, Tampa.
