SPECIAL FAREWELL GIFT FOR FATHER
Florida Catholic Article
To commemorate Fr. Doyle’s retirement as Jesuit’s longest term president ever (12 years), a special memory quilt has been created as a farewell gift. Squares on the handmade quilt contain transfers of Father’s favorite photos and Jesuit images, as well as the imprinted names of every single student who was at Jesuit High School during his time served as President and when he taught here as a young Scholastic. Alumni and student names represented on the quilt include the Classes of 1965 through 1969, and the Classes of 1997 all the way through to this year’s freshman class, our future graduating Class of 2011.
YOUR GIFT IN FATHER’S NAME WILL ALSO BENEFIT STUDENTS IN NEED
Fr. Doyle has passionately supported the age-old Jesuit tradition of making sure that academically qualified boys from all socioeconomic circumstances are able to attend the school. In honor of Father, we are asking for monetary contributions toward his farewell quilt, which will be used to start the “Fr. Joseph F. Doyle S.J. Endowment.” In turn, this endowment will help Jesuit continue to provide tuition assistance to students from low-income or disadvantaged families for many generations to come.
Please consider showing Fr. Doyle your appreciation for his many years of service to Jesuit through a donation in his honor toward this very special quilt and the new endowment that bears his name. When the quilt is presented to him at his farewell party on May 4th, he will also receive a keepsake book listing all donor names and their personal messages.
Thank you for your generosity and your support of Jesuit High School!
