Thank you for Supporting the American Cancer Society Marathon in Joe Mann’s Memory!

Despite tough conditions--it was 70 degrees at the start and 85 by the finish--I made my goal and broke 3:30 in the Chicago Marathon running 3:29:01.

I was especially surprised to see that I finished in the top 2000 of over 30,000 in the race. Many people dropped off and even dropped out along the way. Perhaps I should write an article to Runner's World on the Rosary as a pacing strategy!

Thanks for all of your support and prayers. Together we raised over $4,300 for the American Cancer Society research program. I never expected that we would raise this much. We made the top 20 fundraisers of nearly 1000 charity athletes! In total, these athletes raised over $1 million for cancer research.
