2008 Grad to Walk-on for Holy Cross Basketball
Congratulations to Charlie Mills '08 who will be a walk-on at Division I Holy Cross, which competes in the Patriot League.  Charlie played point guard for Jesuit, averaging 10.2 points, 3.2 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game during his senior year.  In a Nov. 3, 2008 Tampa Tribune article Jesuit Varsity Head Coach Neal Goldman said Mills "was truly one of the hardest working, dedicated, all-out hustling player I've coached in my 29 years at Jesuit." 

FHSAA’s 4A Academic Team Champion Award
Jesuit High School’s 2006-2007 basketball team was named the recipient of the Florida High School Athletic Association’s 4A Academic Team Champion Award. The state recognition honors teams in each of FHSAA’s 20 sanctioned sports and 11 recognized sports for teamwork, not only in athletic competition, but also in aggregate, unweighted grade point average performance.

This was the first year for FHSAA’s Academic Team Champion Awards Program, which makes Jesuit’s basketball team the first winners in the 4A basketball divisions.
