Technology Department
Jesuit High School has an extensive list of technology resources. There are over 160 computers networked within the school, each with access to printers, file servers, streaming video and the Internet. There are two student computer labs, as well as a student research center in the library. Several multimedia classrooms have been built throughout the campus with ceiling-mounted data projectors and speakers and Elmo document cameras. All classrooms have computers with DVD and access to Jesuit TV broadcasts.
Students and parents have access to academic information currently through Edline.net, as well as this website. Future access for all communities will be an extension of this website to include editing profile information, enhanced academic record information, event registration and online giving. Additional website subscriptions allow parents to order lunches, schedule parent-teacher conferences and sell used books online.
The Technology Department provides ongoing staff development through a variety of different technology workshops for faculty and staff throughout the year. Custom training videos for a broad list of topics are also available to staff and faculty. Online curriculum for students is currently being developed using our Moodle website.
The Technology Department also supports school administrative servers, software and databases specific to the Academic, Admissions, Guidance, Treasurer, Development and Physical Plant departments, as well as a Nortel phone system. The Technology Department is responsible for all A/V equipment and the fire, bells and PA systems.
