Freshman Year Curriculum: 7 Credits Required

  1. Biblical Literature/Counseling 1, required (1 credit)
  2. English 1, required (1 credit)
  3. Global Studies, required (1/2 credit) and Speech, required (1/2 credit)
  4. Foreign Language 1, required (1 credit)
    Choice of French, Latin or Spanish
  5. Biology, required beginning with Class of 2011 (1 credit)
  6. Algebra 1, required (1 credit)
  7. Personal Fitness (1/2 credit) and Health (1/2 credit) OR
    Beginning Music (1 credit) OR
    Music* (1/2 credit) and Health (1/2 credit)

PLEASE NOTE: Freshmen must choose a combination of Physical Education and or Music courses to total the required one credit. * Half credit music choices include: Intermediate Music, Advanced Music, Percussion Ensemble, Chamber Ensemble, or Chorus. All ½ credit Music courses meet on alternate days for two semesters and auditions are required. Personal Fitness and Health ½ credit classes meet daily for one semester.
