Jesuit High School’s Counseling Center
consists of four guidance counselors who provide students academic and personal guidance counseling at each grade level.  The senior counselor is also a college information specialist.

Beginning in the freshman year and continuing through the senior year, each Jesuit student receives both individual and classroom guidance counseling on topics relevant to each grade level.  Our guidance counselors attempt to assist each student in arriving at intelligent and responsible decisions regarding college and career choices, as well as personal and academic problems.

Click on "Classroom Guidance Sessions" at left for an outline of grade-specific counseling topics. For Jesuit's attendance policy for college visits, please read the section below.

Attendance Policy for College Visits
Jesuit has a strict attendance policy.  For each unexcused absence, a student will lose .5 points from his semester numerical average in each of his subjects.  Therefore, seniors planning college visits need to follow the steps below to obtain excused absences and remain in good standing.

1. Obtain a college visit form from the senior guidance counselor or counseling secretary.

2. Return the signed form to the school secretary at least two days before the college visit.

3. The signature of a college official must be provided upon the student's return to school.

PLEASE NOTE: Seniors are encouraged to limit days missed for college visits to two. Students other than seniors are not permitted to miss school for college visits.
